I have tired quite few other sites. Dont know if i am allowed to mention names on these forums but the main D... F.... say corporate policy fixed prices etc. The other one uses winter paint balls all year round and if you take you gun they are chronoed at 230ft. Might as well throw paint by hand ....   .

My local one has the usual 15quid entry and then you pay the corporte rate for paint £7. I perfer this site of the others becuase as you right hinted that i do like sneaking around and they have big wooded fields. I cannt stand the ones where you look at the other team before the whistle goes and know which direction everyone comin,,, and it goes to 50-50 real stale mate real quick. everyone trying to go for the google shot at 40 yards .

Airsoft didnt know much about it till i got lost trying to find a paintball field and came accross an airsoft site, they scared the cra+ out of me looked like real weapons. But close combat BBs is not for me. I didnt see any of those guys wearing anything that was not green army camo.

But i think you are right about the setup of the airsoft. They are non profit and still run semi professionally or more so from what i heard. Cheaters get banned end of story something that local punters dont...... mmmmm airsoft...:p ;) :) but i think some setup local club would do alot of good for people on a low budget,,,, (just about everyone):D

It's worth a try before you set up your own surely...?

Also, DF has never been a caterer for own gunners, deffo they are the quick buck kind of guys with bare customer loyalty

Also, confront the 230fps guy, why is he doing it? that's BS mate it can't be for insurance that's silly...

230 Feet is against the UKPSF guide lines and i believe they state 240 - 280 ideally as shooting to slow causes more bruising etc if paint does not burst. Also i don't know any whole sale supplier that stocks winter paint all year round ! Most sell stocks of on special when it warms up ! So firing winter paint will be a disgrace for any site all year round. This is against any sites basic risk assesments !

As for universities etc owning their own land and it being cheaper I very much doubt it would be. They have to have insurance as they are sending their students to play on their land ! So to get insurance your site has to be up to standard... or your insurance is void. So costs are involved maintaining site. Public liability and civil liability is also required for private clubs as it is a CLUB not just mates having a laugh.

If it was so easy to open sites everyone would be !

Also if there is a group of people that would go to your local site week in week out and you approached them and said " hello site owner i have 20 guys all UKPSF insured members. Who wish to play every week on your site and we are willing to have some of them trained as marshals and one as a first aider. Could we please start a discounted club at your site. Where we look after each other and save you costs. But have trained guys to your site standards for your peace of mind. We also have insurance and our own gear so just come and play on the arenas your not Also at the end of the day we tidy up and leave without a trace bar a few hundred extra in your pocket. Which cough cough i'm sure mr tax man does not need to know about " they would sort soething out for you!!
