The more I watch paintball the more I think one of the things we're getting wrong at a basic level is we show close-ups of the players, THEN (sometimes) show an overhead of what happened field-wise. We should spend the majority of the point, I think, in some sort of 'far' view that shows where people are and where they are shooting, and then AFTER the point is over, you go back and show some close-up shots, or you interleave close-up shots only sporadically and for a couple seconds, usually to show eliminations.
Show context with interspersed detail. Near constant shots of players shooting is neither informative nor interesting.
