The removal of the Old Anno takes away more meat than teh new one puts back...so...barrels end up a gnats cock larger in diameter.

Which is why you shouldnt anno a gun multiple times, because teh tolerences change and it may not work propperly.

Sloth did mine as well...sorted.

And...Aluminium does rust.

Rusting is a type of burning actually, in which an Oxide forms...Aluminium oxidizes almost instantly on contact with air, which is why annodising workes so well and gives a dureable "under the skin" finish, and yet Splash was more difficult, because the part has to be in the air to do the splash anno finish before the oxide layer forms and closes the pores up.

Rust is Iron Oxide...Oxidised Iron.

Aluminium Oxidises...hence..it rusts

I know what you mean tho...with Iron based metals it is very destructive, but with Ali, it serves to protect it.
