umm i was considering it, but for woodsball, where you dont really need the electro-ness, a simple a5, with not that many loosable parts (and which i know back to front) seems a better idea, especially as cotter's first gun

Ahh but when you get bored of woodsball and want the adrenaline rush of speedball then you'll need to upgrade - Best to be futureproof

Ions are very cheap and very good for either woodsball OR speedball. Providing you've got everything done up correctly, Ion's don't have looseable parts either...or no more than any other

how well do ions run on a/s co2? when shooting reasonably fast?

edit, sorry flawless, £150 is an absolute max (and it should include a mask, so actually £130 is the max... sorry

Ions run on CO2 but an anti-siphon is HIGHLY recommended to prevent liquid CO2 flowing into the gun and freezing the innards (imagine that). However over a long period of time it will degrade the gun moreso than air and with everyone going over to air its advisable to follow suit

CO2 also does not shoot as consistantly (in velocity terms) as air. Get an air tank - Will save ya in the long run.

im looking for a gun that can run WELL on co2... (not your que to say co2 is w*nk, get air, as its not accessible to him).

He cant go to air.

ive got a scuba, but he's a bit reluctant to use it, as its somewhat unaccessible to him, if ions run fine on co2 (consistantly) then ill suggest it to him, as he was looking at one anyway. but £150's a lot of money to some people, i dont want to get this wrong. also if i get an ion i have to get a hopper... which makes things somewhat more expensive
