Right,

I have been thinking, how many people out there are old skool ballers, you know started in the 90's or earlier and still play at tournament level. Reason I ask is simple, I go to tournaments and see loads of players from various ages and backgrounds. I look at people and wonder how long they have been playing, what they do, what they give up to be there.

Me, started in 1988, 35 years old, I have 5 kids and still play tournament paintball. Cost's me alot more than money and I make sacrifices to be there on that field....so....who else does this?

beer talkin....ho hum

Started playing in 1992 when i helped a mate organise a trip for his birthday. First tournament probably in about '93. Played off and on with various breaks for various reasons since then. Now 27 yrs old.

To be fair its wierd to hear how much everyone gives up to play paintball (bar the amazingly rich)

i for one had to give up :-

field hockey
concerts
getting legless every weekend
buying kerrang! every week
buying CD's (due to naughty program i found)

and numerous other stuff

sid man you've been playing longer than mine and cookies lives

I'll join your club sid, I'm 35, no kids I started playing with splatmasters on punter days, got some more kit, played a few tourneys then found other pastimes (beer, women, cars, motorcycles, scuba diving) just starting to get back into it now...
