hey im interested in this. If you can wait til the end of the month i can order a couple then.
Well it's only next week so I think I can wait yeah :)
Tho it would be useful if I knew how many you wanted, even if you were paying next week, so I could make them up ;)

I might be bringing some to campaign (limited amount ;), so come find me)
Those ordered are being sorted out as we speak; should all be finished by tomorrow night.

Did Jules, Ste, Nige and Martin all get theirs? :)

and I've got another idea, dependant on whether I'm allowed to use the pavillion at the Welsh Open in the evening or not (for the electricity etc ;))

I'd fit (solder) 9V adaptors to your eggs (saves batt door bursting open; & even if it falls open connection will still be there), on the spot, during the Welsh Open evenings (take 5 min or so).
Price, looking at like £3 or something, that includes opening egg, removing springs from upper board & soldering adaptors onto board (adaptors are incl too), checking it's working, and square of sponge if needed to stop rattling. And using my own equipment/solder/flux etc.

For price of a door (ok, +5p ;))

make sure you never need to buy another one :)

Or you can get the parts off me there & I'll tell/show you how to do it yourself if you like (they would be same price as I bought them at), & info free.

I've done this to mine & it works faultlessly. I was prompted to do it because it spoilt 2 games in my last tourney because the battery cover's broken, & it wouldn't work because the batteries weren't in contact with the points. With this as above, there's no pressure on the door.

I've got a spare Y-board someone could have.
I'd also have a go at fixing broken eggs if you brought them to me, as above got a free board if yours is fried.

I'm aware that drop-in batt adaptors were sold at some point but I can't work out how to make drop-in ones :D only how to remove the springs & solder adaptors on, so if anyone could enlighten me I'd be much obliged ;).

What do we think? Any takers possibly/think it's a good/bad idea?

Ta ;)

Sounds like a mint idea i love my eggs when the battery door closes on them. But doors last me on the norm around 3 games. I spend a fortune on black gaffa tape to hold the bloodthings together !! Chris .

Shame i'm not going to campaign
