gf asked me this the other day, made me think

if you could give up everything.... family friends job chicks house car and go over to the states to play for one of the top teams, train every day of the weekend (by train i dont mean just playing paintball....) never have to pay for anything paintball related again, and get to play on the biggest paintball stage in the world, would you ?

i told my gf id drop her like a sack of spuds ;/

made me think about maximus that plays for joy division and is only 14


imagine having that support and only 14 ;p what will he be like in 10 years time ;o

Nope, can't say I would. I'd love to have what you just said but if you value paintball more than your family then something just ain't right there.:cool:

I was ******* lucky enough to have the best of both worlds whereby I got to play for a couple of the best teams in the world but could remain in England and stay with my family but that option, in the modern game, is an unlikely one because nowadays you really need to train with the rest of the team.
In the days I did my stuff, Paintball wasn't as developed and so we were able to get way with it.

But, if I was young again, and had a similar opportunity, hell yes, you just gotta do it, no self-respecting sportsman could turn it down because I tell you this much, there is no such animal as a top sportsman who hasn't made sacrifices ... they just don't exist !
I ain't advocating deserting wife and kids here, I am saying girlfriends are expendable :)

One thing about being being an English guy in the US is the girls out there just luuuuuuurve your accent.
