dude, do the maths. an egg holds in excess of 200 shots, a halo only about 160... thats INSTANTLY weighing less. AND smaller size...

get your facts right sunshine...
actually it depends how your saying it if your talking about the standard hopper with out paint in, the halo is the heavier by far and if you talking about both filled with paint they are about the same as the extra 40 or so balls make up the weight that the halo has from the 6 double a batteries
all in all the halo is better due to the more faster feeding and overall better weight distribution so you dont notice the weight as much but the egg is just pants when it comes to speed and consistency

But the shells have different shapes, and the hoppers have different internals. Eggs DO weigh less, I can't remember where I saw the exact numbers, but I will try and find.

why do people buy a halo b or reloader b when the egg is cheaper and they say it doesnt break like it used to.?
To actually answer the question:rolleyes:
Halo's etc are force fed and will put out 20 Bps+ on the gun with ease.
Egg's are not force fed but despite what the advertising says willl only put out around 12 Bps, maybe only 10 bps consistantly.
If your playing in semi mode and your fingers are not that quick then an egg will be fine, and despite the retarded people that keep breaking their battery doors, eggs are "VERY" reliable and just run and run.
Halo's, reloaders, Egg2's etc are the hoppers that you will need if you are ramping, as they will maintain 15bps+ all day long.
If money is an issue, then the egg will get you started, but if you can afford it and you need the speed then go for one of the force fed hoppers.
Egg = agitated feed but not force fed, reliable, cheap, slow, battery's last.
Halo =force fed, break beam eye's, battery hungry, expensive
Reloader =force fed, sound activated, (feeds when your gun goes bang), more expensive but no eye trouble, but don't work so well on a quiet gun.
Velocity = force fed, eye,s, jam auto reverse, lesser build quality, bit cheaper
hope that helps

Used Eggy 2, couldnt fault any of the 6 or so ive owned lol - Found them reliable and very easy to use - great up to 15bps, and the extra capacity always helped off the break!

Halo, great but hated the bloody board and switch always seemed to cause me a problem

I currently use a reloader B (better switch!) with speedfeed for the dry days, and a VLocity for those wet days as it has a lid, although ive used the Vlocity for the last 3 masters and its been brilliant, fast and reliable. Both of these perform exceptionally well and i love both and will keep using both!

Could you explain this more ?

I was using a Reloader B on sunday and was very pleased with it, so I bought a Halo yesterday (Havn't got it yet obviously) thinking they were pretty much the same, other than the fact that the Halo is break-beam and the Relaoder is sound activated.

What is the problem with the switch ? I may change the switch in light of this.

Cheers.

lol - dont panic - i just felt that the switch in the halo is shorter and needed more "pushing" than the reloader - this in turn led to the membrane covering the switch piercing and sometimes not knowing if the halo was on or off

This may have been just a dodgy couple of halo's, but the reloader seems to have a more positive switch and i have had no problems with it.

Maybe it was me, although i do see a lot of halos around with the membrane cover over the switch pierced which must say something.

Well the membrane cover over the switch on the Reloader B I was borrowing was also broken, be it that the switch was working fine even though I was wearing gloves. So with regards to that I don't think it's just a Halo problem.

I may get a slightly longer switch and file it down to the correct length, however. You've got me thinking now.
