Thanks.
What do you call when the opponent is in your half of the field? For example, if the enemy is in your Snake-2 or Dorito-2, what do you use - "Our Snake-2" or "Snake-4" or ...?

Well our team call goes something like this:

"Aaaaahhhh!"

In all seriousness though we just stick with convention: Snake 1-4, Teabag/Dorito 1-4, M and then "oh f***" if someone is on our back line.

yeah because if you shout 'our teabag 1' and your team mate doesnt hear 'our' then he'll just be chilling thinking he's got nothing to worry about :)

In this situation "Aaaahhh" always pursues us :)

OK guys, can you tell me something more about the skills of coaching? How do you do it more successful? Do you prefer talking to shouting or vice versa? Are you at war with the opposite coach? What is your main aim: coaching mostly on dorito forward or dorito side or the whole team?

Sorry for my English, I hope you understand me.

I prefer to keep couting up for players on our side of the field - eg if their are six doritios, then they are called 1-2-3 on their side, then 4-5-6 for our 3-2-1

There's no strict rules on whats a do and don't. The only real thing not to do is try to shout so loud that your voice becomes unclear. a raised voice but with good clarity is the only important thing. Other than that you can choose if you want to just work with the closest player, but i think our team's preference is to make sure that everybody knows the G count, and where players are, thats the priority. Use your judgement, if you are in the middle of calling bunker locations and you see somebody screaming down to mug your front guy then 100% let him know.

Other than that just be prepared for players asking you for information,so don't get zoned in to just shouting bunker names if a player is clearly asking for help.

A little thing my team picked up on fairly quickly when we're naming bunkers/calls - make sure all of the calls are distinct, i.e lazily calling Doritos D1-3 sounds awfully similar to G1-3, especially going across a field full of roaring markers.

My opinion is the same as yours Shepherd. At first I thought that the codes should be as short as possible but then I realized that this way was not so good, because the codes soundеd like in Chinese and they really lost somewhere on the field. In the past we tried the military alphabet, which should be working in extreme situations.
I see that you prefer to keep counting up for enemies when they are dangerously close and I will use this for tape bunkers.
Liam 92 and Kevin Winter your words are helpful for me. I have a few questions. Do you say the name of your team-mate when you are the coach (or back player) while you communicate with him? Do you try to deafen the other coach? Do you do anything more special after breakout to understand where are the all bad guys or you just follow your game plan?

I talk very specifically to other players if I know them well - eg:

"Charlie - I'm looking to bump, put back center in for me!"
"Connor, I'm switching to the tape, look infield"

etc

Hand signals can also work - pointing at myself and then down the field should tell a team-mate that I'm about to push down the field and need them to put someone in, and we should have discussed this possibility whilst walking the field... ;)

Again, its based on your experience how you respond. Absolutely use people's names where possible if you need to tell them to do something specific, it draws their attention and helps get some 2 way communication going. As for deafening the other coach, its not really important unless they are making a significant impact on the game. Its not a priority in most games, but for example in rome this year one of our guys won a 2 on 1 from the pit side purely because one of our players dave was shouting so loud the opposition couldnt hear their coach tell them where our guy was, even although they were spectator side.

So bottom line, yes use names where possible, focus on your own team and their game and only if its going to stop some serious damage do you consider drowning out the oppositions coach. If you want to be a real D*ck you can even try counter coaching i.e. talk to the opposition as if you are helping and get them to do something stupid :p comes in handy against inexperienced teams as well if all your guys are dead and you keep coaching anyway, can throw them off guard and buy you some time!
