Hi my name is lee
I was recently put on to this forum by a local team at a local site. I have already purchased a bt-4 slice to first see if it was something I would stick at. After speeking to a few people and playing the game I am now wanting to upgrade my marker to something electric. A few I have looked at is the etha, etek 4 and the geo 3. Is this the right road to go down and which one is recommended.
any advice would me appreciated

I don't think there will be many sites that require you to be a ukpsf member, if they do they will be limiting their potential customers to a few.

Ukpsf are the nearest thing that paintball has as a governing body in the uk
It is who the home office listen to/go to on any issues

Membership is not compulsory for anything, a while back one of the tournament leagues required membership to play but it does not appear to have been popular (£15 extra on the hundreds it costs to play competitive paintball)

What the ukpsf does give you is the feeling that you are supporting paintball, you have the choice of insured membership (£5 basic uninsured, £15 full membership with insurance)
Note that the insurance is your liability to others and personal accident insurance. Check the website for a copy of the insurance policy documents and see if the insurance is for you
If you are self employed, or anyone else who needs a short qualifying period if you have time off work then look into other insurance
