Hello, I recently have taken an interest in paintballing and I would love to pursue it!
Does anyone have any recommendations for me?
I don't want to spend loads, but I'm willing to put a decent amount towards it.
If anyone reading this is trying to shift an old marker or mask etc at a good price please leave a comment, I'll be in touch.
Thanks a lot

hi avoked, I don't have anything you can buy off me but as a fellow noob I do have a recommendation for you.. speed posting to get your 20 post count gets you no where in this forum... believe me lol... if your serious about paintballing then you will first read the info already available on the forum and take it all in and learn most stuff you need to no is already here if you look.. our times in the classifieds section will come..

Hold back on asking for items at the moment, you need to make 20 posts to be eligible to use the classifieds and the pm system to communicate directly

Overdo it initially and you get your post counts reset etc

Gather as much information as possible, and if you can then get to a paintball shop / or to a site and see the traders, or what other people have

What do you like about paintball, what experience do you have, what are you looking into etc. eg woodland play, scenario, special locations, speedball etc

For gear goggles are the primary item, you want the right ones that are comfortable for you

Unless you are playing at one of the punter orientated sites which just use co2 then you want compressed air. A standard 3000psi steel/aluminium cylinder will do fine and save you over £100 on starting up

An electric hopper is best, but it does not have to be top of the range. A halo too can keep up with any rates of fire etc

You want a pod belt or vest and pods to carry your paint

You don't need any special clothing, just comfortable clothing and decent footwear
You will want to customise your requirements for your style of play, if you're going to dive around then you will want paintball specific clothing for the right protection and padding

The gun is basically the last item - there is a vast choice
But you will also want some extras such as barrel condom and a fluffy

Thanks a lot. Is a punter orientated site a place like delta force?

@Avoked As someone else who is fairly new I have found checking ebay can be a good idea, dont bid high though. For example I got a brand new with tags top and trousers playing gear by H18 for about £4 each, a Proto Primo hopper for £3.50 and just got 2 pod belts (a 5+4 and a 3+2) and 3 pods for £9

Ebay can be very unsafe apparently when it comes to paintballing gear
