Good Newbie Gun?

Hey looking to buy myself a marker somewhere around the price of £300, not much more preferably. To be used in amateur speed ball tourneys mostly as I joined a paintball society at Uni. I was thinking of something along the lines of an Invert Mini but if anyone has other suggestions they would be much appreciated, bare in mind I'm not too hot on paintball jargon, so specs of guns and parts I'm not too familiar with.

For £300, I would go secondhand and look at either an Ego 10 or a an Empire Axe.
