I rly wud like to get more into it, i have only one mate whos interested to.
Rewind to 2005/2006 and that's exactly how a particular scenario paintball team began
Circa 2005/2006 a group went paintballing, 2 bought the gear, returned, found walkons, were pointed to our first scenario - flashpoint 2006, met another guy in 2008 - officially named a team and ran our own scenario
Come forward to 2013 and we've a much bigger roster, 5 full scenarios under our belt, a few mini specials, and the original 2 of us got vaporized by aliens on TV (right beside the cabin from 'mission paintball')
From little acorns, big trees grow

... And we began when you were lucky to have one scenario a month. Now its a players market and is so much more then punter woodsball or tournament.
You can play in the woods, in fields of inflatables, indoors, underground, in secret nuclear bunkers, probably not in a shopping centre again, on state of the art army training camps, .... the list goes on and on

Question!
When i Buy ticket for "DW" when do i choose team ? (obviously HMC)
Don't take it as gospel as my only ever diamondwars was this years paintfest, but on arrival at registration we chose the side

Anyway - welcome to paintball.
Look around the forum, let us know your prefered flavor of paintball (if you have one yet)

.... Just one word of caution on your cylinder choice ....
3000psi cylinders are cheaper(any way you do the numbers)
fibre isn't realy lighter (it is for cylinders of the same size though)
you don't get 4500psi fills most of the time

But fibres come with more choice in size, stubyness, compactness, roll in the shoulder-ness
A fibre is best bought to physically fit you on an ergonomic basis

If you have a good income and the funds are available then the right fibre for you is a good buy, if you haven't had the chance to get the feel of a few different shapes & sizes then hold back on a fibre straight away

Just remember bud that it's a starter kit and you will spend LOADS more getting to what you want. Until you see the next thing..... LOL

obviously wud like to join some scenario based team/group.
In the lead up to nvs make contact with your faction leader or a deputity.
(Sometimes seperate faction threads or Facebook pages/groups are put together)
They will be glad of singleton players offering themselves and will find you a team to run with, or a team will offer to take you in for the game on threads

This works two ways - a prospective team can check you out / you can check them out, or you just get to see the dynamics of a team, do this at a few games and you get to see how different teams operate
Some are slick running highly seriously organised teams, some are just a bunch of like minded people, most are something inbetween

Alternately - see who is nearby when you arrive at the campsite, camp next to an interesting looking bunch on the same side as you and you're pretty much sorted for the weekend
(Camp next to the opposition and you'll discover how friendly the crowd are & get some good banter going)
