Depends on what type of paintball you play? By the looks of it it's woodsball scenario?... Post up in the scenario/rec ball section and newbie threads.. There are plenty of guys and girls on here who will offer help and advice and welcome you to the forum and paintball community... Maybe slow down abit on the speed posts tho, your post count will magically reduce to zero ;)

I would not recommend the Tpx as a first gun
(I highly recommend the Tpx - but pistols are hardly used by many owners)

For air - go for a 3000psi aluminium/steelie, vastly cheaper then a fibre cylinder (aluminium/steelie £30-£40 brand new, fibre £150 new or around £80 second hand- this price does not always reflect depriciation vakue and will take a lot of your budget)
Unless you find a seller passing it on cheaply its hardly worth the effort going second hand for aluminium / steelie. pay no more then £8 for 4 years old, £16 for 3 years old etc

For a hopper don't splash out much. A rotor etc would be nice but any electric will do fine. A gravity or 'shelf assisted' hopper will work. Don't necessarily buy a hopper until you source a gun, as you may get them together
A 'Halo too' is a good buy for not a lot if money - new or second hand

Much more important is a decent set of goggles - and comfortable for you
For around £50 you can get a reasonable pair new. But it's most important that you try some on

We probably allocated half your budget there, but don't forget pots and a pod belt or vest

just as a guide I sold my sons Etek3 ,a Halo2 and 3.0steel tank for 200£ and an old Grillz,in fine working nick for 25£.So you dont have to break the bank for a first set up.2nd hand Planet guns are very good value, most ballers will be able to help you with any queries and at big scenarios and CPPS in midlands ,they,ll service it for free. The for sale section on here is good .Look at more than just the front page ,since guns that have nt moved may take an offer or throw in a tank/hopper to move it. Spend most of your money on PLAYING ,you do not need a gun with all the bells and whistles on . The other guy will be just as dead whichever you shoot him with .Hope that helps

are you wanting scenario or tournament?

as said above get a good mask and make sure its a thermal as fogging up in a game is a right bitch . always remember that thing is possibly gonna be on your faces for hours on end over a couple of days. Vforce grillz or Dye i4s tend to be a favourite but are very expensive. but always try some on as they are all different.

cheap steelies are great for starting as they are affordable and solid, a good tip on that is you only need as much air as paint your carrying, if you have 600 paintballs and an expensive bottle that can shoot 1200 shots, its pointless unless your planning to carry more paint. and vice versa 1000 paintballs is pointless to carry if you can only shoot 500. unless your carrying paint for team mates.

TiPX nice pistol i have one, barely gets used :p as tommika said, lovely marker but never gets the use it deserves. i only carried it till i got my tm15 as its more efficient i swappd the holster for 3 more pod pouches.

save a bit more coin first, the thing with owning your own equipment is to get better than what is offered for rental, look around, settle on what YOU WANT, and save for it, then when you have it you'll be much happier then always thinking if you'd of waited that bit longer you could of had something a bit better.

Mate as has been said before try on masks as a first thing. When you find one that fits perfectly, then look for it second hand.

Next up try different markers, and then try to find them second hand to buy.

All this can be done by going to a walk-on at your local site.

Then with your remaining cash go for a steelie bottle and pods, hopper and pod pack
