Hey guys and gals, it's taken me some time to finally get talking on here, but here I am.

I played paintball a few times when I was young and finally got back to having a game last week. I fell in love with it straight away! Its so exhilarating! Once you get hit a few times you know what to expect and the game face comes on. The first two rounds I was my team's captain and managed to lead them through and flawlessly defeat the enemy team with no loss. I never felt so good.

I've really been putting my head into the books and looked up a lot about paintball and it seems something I want to participate in.

I took some tips from some friends and decided to buy my own mask for when I play, I just wondered what you all thought. I've ordered the Proto FS Thermal Goggles with woodland camo. Has anyone got them or used them before?

Just a quick thanks for being here, this community, it's a hidden secret that many other groups should aspire too. I've learnt a lot already and I've only just created an account!

Welcome.

I'm sure you'll be quite happy with the Proto's, they're a good comfy set of goggles. It's nice to know that you're wearing a pair where the lens isn't scratched to bits and they haven't been sweated in by 500 people before you got there ;)

Don't buy a gun yet, try some first. Get to a big event and have a look at the trade stalls, ask around.

Thanks!

I've tried the V Force ounces which are standard at most venues (the ones in my picture) but they steamed up loads so I thought I'd invest in my own. I was left in the dark but recommended Proto goggles by a friend so I went for them.

Yeah I was told I should go to a few events but I wouldn't know where to start. I don't drive so it's tricky.

Does anyone know any good events near Newcastle or in North Yorkshire?

Welcome to the forums!

Proto's are a cracking set of goggles for a good price. Anything with a thermal lense (air barrier sealed between 2 plates) should help with considerably less fogging.

So long as they're comfy you shouldn't have any problems.

Can't help you with events up North im afraid. Midlands born and bred!

Hey,

They've just come through in the mail - they're really comfy, seem well built too. I look forward to playing in them!

Thanks
