I'm saying this with a pinch of salt, but round 1 this year the Eclipse tech tent didn't stop all day and the Dye tent was a place of tranquility so do dye make better guns or are PE owners just careless?

I'm gonna go with careless (first events are always a car wreck) and the fact that PE markers are so much more common in the UK,

Also another question is there much of a difference between Etek and Etha?

In the big picture, they are the same. You pull the trigger, a paintball comes out.

But their operation is very different. The etek is essentially a budget Ego, a poppet based marker with a bolt you see moving from the outside with each shot. The Etha is a spool based marker, everything is internal. There's a lot of opinions and conjecture on poppet vs spool but the only person who can decide which you prefer is you.

well on the face of it they both have the same barrel, feedneck, asa, regulator, and trigger. so really it all comes down to the internals. They have very different solenoids however I don't know enough to compare the performance on them. Really as far as the bolt systems go, Despite spool valves generally needing more care, the etha is really as hard as the etek so no issues with that. While the etek uses air pressure to return the bolt, the etha uses a spring and I'd say that you can feel this when you shoot it and is the reason i think the etek shoots a bit nicer. You've also got the option of adjusting the LPR on the etek to further reduce the force on the rammer.

Tbh they are very closely matched guns and in my opinion, they are both as good as each other and if anything I'd say the etek just feels that little bit nicer to shoot.

EDIT: having had a think, in my opinion it all comes down to either ETHA: slightly cheaper, quieter or ETEK: ease of bolt access (can do it gassed up), slightly nicer shooting

Personally. I've been an Ego fanboy for a long time so given a 'pick one' choice I'd go for the ETEK. I just prefer the ability to easily remove the bolt in case of a breach break and I have no issue with the alleged loudness/kick of the pre-LV1 generation Ego platform. Also I just know how an Ego/ETEK works so know my way around them in case of wierdness.

But there are lots of other considerations, namely price. There's a £80 different between a new ETEK LT and a new ETHA. It's arguable whether it's worth spending the extra cash. Of course you could go the pre-owned route. buying off the forums and probably get something even better for the 300-400 price range.

Flat out, no one can decide a mask for you. It is completely personal opinion. You need to try them all out and see which one you prefer.

I've owned or used most of the better masks out there including masks such as i4, grillz, profit, proflex and the i4 is a great mask, but is indeed very small. Personally for me it fitted fine but it is very common for peoples entire jaws to stick out the bottom of the mask, especially when talking. Its also quite narrow so despite being a very popular mask, a lot of people don't actually fit it very well.
Personally for me my favourite mask nowadays is the vforce grillz. I've been using mine for quite a while and they have the best features you expect like quick change and thermal lenses, soft/flexible, decent venting. they are quite durable and offer protection in all the right places, which fully protects your jaw and ears, and especially that really sensitive part just under your ear unlike a lot of masks out there. Plus i think when you factor in the lower cost plus visor and chin strap options (if that's what you like) and not to mention they are the most badass looking mask by far, i think it makes them a winner!

Ok thanks I may pop down to the Cannock shop one day in near future and see what they have to offer and try a few things on

Also Is there any need for the 1.5 canisters or would it be ok to just have a 1.1?

Also with a hopper would it be better to go for a z2 or dye rotor? Iv heared the dye rotor puts pressure on the balls when the loader goes around where as the z2 only goes around when shot is this true?
