i know it comes stock with a .693 barrel back to cater for the woodsball players. Would you say that affects its accuracy when using tourney grade paint? Accuracy is something im a little bit anal about.
o_O huh?

Since when has what type of paintball you play got anything to do with barrel size? I choose my barrel based on what size paint I shoot... not on where or what type of game I'm playing that day. What a load of cobblers.

Anyway.. in answer to the original question

Don't bother with either just buy yourself a nice pump - it's where the real fun is at

Well the size of the paintball reflects what barrel back you use...so its got a fair bit to do with barrel size. But more what i was suggesting is that .693 is over-bored to cater for crap paint where as I could get a smaller bore that would be better for better grade paint. Generally a .689 is an all round good bet for tourney grade paint so ive been told. As to the purchase of a pump, it lacks everything I need in terms of rate of fire and practicality.
But thanks for the input

forget all that bollox and buy the one you like the most ;)
Haha i wish it was that simple because i want them both but cant afford both. trying to make a clinical decision. Yet to fire an axe so might try that and then decide

Axe for me by a million miles, ive had both. Axe is smoother shooting, isnt half plastic, grips are nice and sticky, the boards led doesnt flash so bright it may damage your eyeballs, trigger is a million times better (etha has side to side play). On top of all that never chopped/ broke a ball no matter what paint ive used, nor has it broken down... I would choose an axe over many markers not just bashing the etha.
These are purely MY views ofcourse. X

Toss a coin and buy the one you hope it lands on.
Yeah might do that. My rational side is saying go for the Axe because its a higher end marker but I desperately want the Etha so might just stop kidding myself and get one

Thanks mate. You highlighted alot of the issues I was concerned about with the Etha. Not sure about its plastic frame although im assured its rock solid and its bad about the **** trigger. What would you say is good about the Etha

The axe took us a long way this season at the masters with no problems, not shot an etha but everyone who I lent the axe to shoot this year only had good things to say about it.
In the end it is about what feels right or what you want fella?

Probably the macroline...
I really like planet eclipse gear, but i was really not impressed with the etha. Im sure theres people reading this who have ethas and love them, there are people down my local that have ethas and love them, but they havent owned an axe. I even use my axe over a vanguard demon and a geo2, an axe just feels nice to me. But you may pick one up and not like it so dont take my word, get out there and fondle many other people guns. X
