I personally (If i was in your situation) wouldnt want to to let him have it back in case he came back to you further on down the line complaining about something else... I would do the same thing you have, deduct cost of repairs and postage from refund and put an end to the whole thing.

May be worth getting a third party... Creed Tech or possibly Vanguard themselves to vouch for gun being 100% before re-sending. Then if this buyer screws it up (again) it's down to him to sort it

I think this is extremely fair as I should be charging you £30 for re anodising the lpr cover and other postage costs
And as stated before most would not take marker back
