Hiya

I have to yes there was some swearing but it was after 9pm and to be honest it wasnt an issue.

I think having people like Gary Lineker, wont help the show as he/they probably does know much about paintball and the show might not flow, the host was ok, may be having some one like Adam Woodyatt might help but then all thats going to do is up the production costs!

Its good news that the viewing numbers were good, if SKY decide to run series 2 may be issue more studio tickets to give a greater studio feel.

The programme is what paintball needs and may be some more on site interviews speaking with the punters and getting their views and feelings on their day of paintball, trying to sell paintball... offer up a competition for a punters to get days paintballing?

The tickets are free, you just have to apply.
The problem was not the number of tickets allocated but the fact that some people allocated tickets just did not turn up.
When you get a number of small groups doing this it quickly adds up and so the studio would not be to capacity.
When the next series is advertised (crossed fingers) apply for tickets. The more the merrier

I watched this last night with Al Woods and thought it was pretty good.

Bit of a mix for all paintballers and was good to see paintball getting a spot on TV.

I liked the host and panel idea and having a special guest was nice. Not so sure about the splatmaster challenge or whatever it was called. Would have been good if they'd set something a bit better up, or at least padded it out a bit rather than just showing a target getting hit by a few furry balls!

Nice how it was a magazine kinda show with little bits, vids, and features. Didn't like the American correspondent bloke. When there are so many good players who are well respected over in the states with great personalities, it seemed a shame to use that squeaky voiced dude.

Apart from that, good effort!

Me and Al will definitely tune in again (it's already on series link ;) )

wouldn't it be a simple solution to put a nominal price on the tickets so that people actually turn up? as for the remark on the splatmaster challenge as much as the concept is completely ripped from top gear (not a bad thing :p) i thought it was a good laugh! got to say its much more fun seeing someone like Frank shooting a splatmaster than anything else, just in the same way its great to see Lewis Hamilton fly round a track in a Kia :D

I was at Al's house and he is on sky. My poxy cable doesn't show it. I'll check with him, but as far as I know he said he had series linked it?

I know what you mean about the splatmaster part being fun, but I just thought it was badly implemented. It was so brief they may as well not have bothered. Think if it was filmed a bit better like over Franks sholder or something, maybe even a gun cam, and with a bit more comentary it might draw people in a bit more than just showing some crappy velcro dartboard and fluffy balls.

Of course I have been known to be wrong, but I'm sure on that occasion it wasn't my fault ;)

I'm with you there. Tom Cunningham is a big deal in the states though and runs a very successful news website that has been running since the beginning of time. Personally I can't understand the allure but I understand why he was chosen.

Well, we kinda expected something a bit **** to be honest and you know what, apart from my wife laughing at us and walking out after 3 minutes saying I'm bored ****less already, I really enjoyed it. Yeah, it has a bit of a low budget vibe but I'll bet my comeback tour that those guys didn't have too many coins to play with.

It really captured the full circle of paintball and definitely had something for everyone. If I was one of the guys involved with a regular spot I'd really go for it and have some fun.

Loved the ETV spot and the rec/tourney tips is a great idea, I'm looking forward to seeing more of them. The paintball Top Gear concept works and could work REALLY well with a bit of thought and some good ideas to get the panel more involved.

Special guest is a winner but I agree with my boy Latham, the splatmaster bit had a dose of biz to it. I reckon watching some Soccer AM and Top Gear would help bring a few engaging ideas to the table to make it feel a bit more awesome.

Also, some of the video clip spots could be a bit better, bit more pure paintball focus - zombie kid wasn't a winner for me and the chained up ruskie was poo too. Maybe just some move of week type stuff or maybe a massive f'k up on the field or something. Ollie was awesome!! Really good review spot.

Really good job though guys, as someone who's been out of it for a while I'm looking forward to seeing the show grow and progress. Paintball...on telly. Doesn't get much better than that does it!
