Suicide?

Jack Daniels

feckking pissed.....again
not sure about 10 man teams but i can speak from experience with regards to 3 man tactics. When playing fat bobs woodland 3 man earlier this year, we used a mad bstrd, who liked getting up close and personal with the opposition. he would rush them from an angle they werent expecting and take out two players on his own. Basically leaving two players against one. (odds severely in our favour).
He would obviously get hit at some point during this rush, so he sacrificed himself for the good of the team. (a true team player and one that i wouldnt be without, either as a friend or a fellow baller)
As far as running into bunkers with paint grenades taped to yourself and a pull cord for em all goes, hey its all fair in paint and war, it might even work on 10 man x ball. who knows.:D

Sometimes it matters more that the opposition not have a bunker than that you have that one player it will cost to get the opposition out of that bunker.

Also, if you run one guy really deep off the break, your other frontplayers can get farther than usual because the other team is all shooting at the dude who just took their 35 center. People almost always focus on the biggest perceived threat, while leaving other threats on the back burner.

suicide tell me about it

playing just for fun with your friends, and teammates and enemies who are complete strangers, yes i'm talking about old school paintball back in the woods on a cold damp saturday morn. So no need for "sacrifice tactics" or so you'd think...
it comes to the "classic capture the centre flag and get it to the oppositions base" game, tell me there's no "sacrifice". the person whose captain shouts "i have an idea! who reckons they're pretty fast here?" everyone knows what happen next. the poor speed monkey runs head first unprotected (i prefer to run it without a gun otherwwise it would slow me down) with not only the whole of the opposing team firing at you, but your "team mates" giving you "cover fire". Now tell me there's no sacrifce during old school paintball.

yeah come on skip nearly, nearly....

He aint kiddin neither Ive never seen him not get the flag, however he then has one of those tragic movie moments where he turns to his team mates and waves uncontroably with delight and so too do his teammates.....he then gets torn apart by paint and more paint and then finally troden on by the oppositions flag runner going the other way.

Before the rest of the forum monkeys come on and rip your e-heart out... look at the date of the last post, and the date of the last post before yours in the thread... A whole 5 years ago.

This thread is dead and buried, please let it lie in peace.
