New paintballer from bedford :)

Hi all,
Played paintball a few times now with some mates at skirmish northampton and skirmish flitton ( i think that's where it was) and really got into it so I've decided to make a hobby of it hoping to go to a few more day sessions to get some more experience and then start buying my own stuff to play at walk ons and maybe for a team if I turn out to be good enough.

Just out of interest does anyone know of a Paintball shop around Bedforshire where I can go and try out stuff before I buy??

I really like the whole woodsball and scenario paintball however would be up for seeing what sup air is like to play

if you look on the calendar on the web site mate gives you ideas of what games are coming up, not all the team can make events due to other commitments so just keep an eye on it and just talk to us we dont bit well some do lol enjoy paintball only advice is sort your mask first the rest will fall into place happy hunting

Hi Karl, don't worry about being new mate, most of our members were / are new. We have a guy coming to the next walk on who's only played at normal days out like you have.

Anyway, up to you, but you don't need to be professional to join us

I had a look at the calender and it said your next game was in a competition of some sort? So when is your next walk on and can you still hire kit out at these??

Yeah I have heard from a few people that it is good to sort out your mask first... Would you lot say something like a pro vantage mask would be alright or should I spent a bit more and get an I4??

As far as Goggles go, you need to ideally try some to see how they fit you.

The best thing is to get to a game with a few traders, even if you don't play that game. You can then see and handle all the kit and see what works for you.

BZ Paintball and LiPS will be at Staargate on 8/9 Sept if you are anywhere near. You could also try the Pro Shop at NPF, Bassetts Pole any weekend if you can get up to there.

What side of Bedford are you? If you are looking at playing at different sites you have Apoc near Royston. The site its just off the A1198, 1/2 mile outside Royston

I live about 5 minutes from the town centre and travelling isn't a problem as I have a car

Will try and get down to one of those events depending on work commitments etc if not will take a trip to lips in the next couple of weeks and try on some goggles
