I'm hoping to, somepoint within the next year or so, buy myself a decent tank. My question to you lovely people is, what to get? Really inclined towards a 68/4500, not sure what make, but please give me your suggestions, I'm all ears!

Lightness and capacity a 68/4500 is great!
I have a Dye throttle works brilliantly.
If you are quite short (arms and height) then i would suggest trying the 48/4500 as it's a lot smaller.
If not then go for it if you can afford it, once you get one you won't need another. (unless your gat's a complete air hog!)
Out of interest what gat do you have as it's pretty useless putting a 68/4500 on a Tippmann Sierra one as it won't make to much difference in weight, but will add a little extra air for you to shoot i suppose.

Just shooting site rentals at the moment! Trying to follow Mike from TechPb's advice by buying stuff in this order, Mask, hopper, tank, gun. Looking at buying an etha after all that though!

If you're shooting site rentals but looking to her a Etha you could always buy a Etha and a steelie then save for a new tank bit by bit.
Mask always first though! ;)

Yeah, sounds like a good plan, got the first two bits hence why I'm starting to think about a tank :)

It's up to you mate you will get more shots off and not need to upgrade from a 68/4500 on a Etha but it may take you longer to get/play, if you get a Steelie it's a lot cheaper but it weighs more and holds less air, but it means you can get a Etha quicker and start playing etc.

Yeah I guess, I just want something thats light and can hold alot of air, I'm playing mostly woodsball so site rentals aren't to bad at the moment. I'm only 13 so taking a long time to get gear will help with the wait until I can play actual tourneys!

At 13 you have plenty of time to save for a good tank, and a Etha!
Also keep up with your spelling and typing on here, i had no clue of your age before, i thought you were older from the way you typed/spelled/your grammar.
Well done (y)

Good plans on following Mikes tips.

But do put it into a little context for yourself.

Where do you play and what fills to they have?
e.g. If the site still uses Co2 then your own air cylinder wont help without the added expense of getting offsite fills (and giving the ability to run your own marker that does not like CO2)

If they run air then you can still borrow cylinder when you play if you save for a marker first.

The advantages of a fibre cylinder is choice of sizes, less weight, more air due to size capacity (unless you go for small due to your requirements), more air due to pressure capacity (provided the site/event offer 4500psi)
The disadvantage is cost. About £150 from new and committing to a 15 year lifespan and requireing 2 re-tests to get that lifespan. (Minimum £200 life cost)
A 3000psi aluminium cylinder is not a bad buy, it saves money allowing you to keep it for the marker and paint.
At about £30 you can discard it after 5 years, but if you get it retested then it can last forever as there is no lifetime limit provided it remains in good condition and passess tests.

I would advise on your next purchase being the marker. You may negotiate a deal for marker and cylinder together.
If its going to take time to save for an Etha then that is another reason to hang onto your money and shorten the wait.

You can happily run an Etha on a 3000psi aluminium cylinder. It will be vastly more efficient then the rentals you are using.
An fibre cylinder will give you more options, but it costs more.
