Demon leak possible cause for low cronograph

Hi all. I'm new to vanguard guns. I recently brought one off a good friend who sent it off to be servised by vanguard. When I received it, it leaked from everywhere. I have managed to get to gun working using dye orings. When shooting the gun the crono will not go above 255fps. When the reg is fully out the is a small leak coming from the trigger. Im using a dye throttle bottle which is low pressure that I use on my nt, but I know that this shouldn't case a issue. Other that this small leak the gun is flawless. Any help would be great.

Check the qev diaphram, for the leak and check your dwell isnt to low that can cause low fps

Ok I've taken it all apart re lubed all seals and orings, when firing the marker all the lube is coming out the left side of the gun and is still leaking by the trigger magnet. May send it back to Martin as its just had brand new cans and bolt put it. As I say I've never worked on a vanguard gun before, mainly dealt with dye and empie guns. I should invest in a spares kit I think.

Every thing is new in the gun I've changed everything and its still leaking. Chrono is still low even with dwell at 30.0 ms which seems alittle excisive considering martin set it to 18.5

If its comimg out bottom left by trigger frame (where the qev is) thats the normal sign of diaphram faliure try another one as sometimes they may look fine but it only takes a tiny nick or hole for them to fail. That tends to be the only problem people have with the demon as they can be sensitive,
failing that it could be coming from the solenoid as it sounds like it possible you could of over pressurised it.

Quite possibly. I was getting low crono gave it one turn out on the reg and air started pissing out the side. I should be receiving a new spares kit tomorrow so I'll update

basically with the experience I've had with my demon, even though the QEV looks good I'd still change it, the amount of problems those little rubber things cause is unbelievable. also when taking the marker apart and putting in back together i sometimes knock an oring of the manifold and causes a leak.

as you've said you have not worked on a demon before, i still suggest buying a large spares kit, if you manage to fix this by yourself you'll get to know the marker better and be able to fix it easier in the future
