perhaps your required to remove the stock board? but ik what you mean thats alot of chip for a gripframe

I don't think so, the clue there is the socket on one end marked 'TO BOARD'! So you have 2 components, plus a bundle of wires to stuff in your frame, the pair of capacitors suggest it may well need a bit of battery power to run, especially as has to produce a sufficiently powerful RF signal to be read by equipment off the field.

Would it not have just been easier for Virtue to produce fixed mode/ROF boards for NPPL?

This is the virtue RF chip so the hopper and gun sync with one and another. The pictures are the boards for the hopper.

The gun as a transmitter and the hopper has the receiver. On the virtue rotor kit you get a new rotor board and the 2 modules to plug in to the hopper and the transmitter that plugs between the gun board and the solenoid.

When the hopper runs out of ball the hopper will pulse the rotor's arm and when you pull the trigger again it starts the the full spinning cycle of the rotor arm.

This might explain things a little better:


They're basically looking at not only checking rates of fire with these boards, but also as a method of quantifying paintball in terms of recording statistics. However, in many ways, the system is fundamentally flawed, as it assumes that a player pulling the trigger more than anyone else is in a game is a better player.....so I might take to shooting constantly at the floor and staying in back centre to improve my stats. Just watch the video and you'll see what I mean.

Those pictures are very similar to the virtue RF chips i have in my rotor
