Hey,

I've just ordered myself my first ever electric marker (Empire Axe) and just wanted peoples opinions on what loader i should get?
I guess the top two are the Dye rotor and Empire Prophecy but which one is best?

I'm leaning towards the Empire Prophecy only because it will match my Axe and looks cooler than the rotor imo.

All advice/opinions welcome

cheers

Comes down to personal preference really but you really should not choose a product on the sole basis of looks.

Rotor:

- hard as nails
- insane battery life
- insanely easy to operate
- stupidly easy to disassemble/reassemble
- decent resale value
- costs sh*tloads to buy @ retail

Prophecy:

- variable nose cones; adjustable capacity
- large feed mouth
- durable but prone to snapping off @ feedneck without aluminium insert upgrade
- good battery life but wire connectors prone to disconnection
- very customizable
- sound activated
- smoke shells are cool
- cheaper than rotor but resale value not fantastic
- lighter in weight than rotor but not by much

Owned both (first a prophecy then a rotor). Prefer rotor due to ease of operability and easy quick disassembly which is handy on-field. Prophecy is more suited for users that like to customize the sh*t out of their setup (even more so with the LTD board upgrade). The rotor is very much a no-nonsence does-what-it-says-on-the-tin hopper but very expensive though. If adamant about getting a prophecy, make sure it's a 2nd gen one which comes with the upgraded drive belt and aluminium feedneck insert as standard.

Best bet, try both out and see which one you prefer.

very few people like having a dildo attached to the end of their hopper :p
I actually had a little bit of wee come out at that comment :pound:

I will be thinking of that the next time I see the kid at NPF with his dildo loader...

if you can get you're head around the slightly more complicated dismantling of the prophecy (which isn't all that hard) then i would go with that because it is sound activated and has a higher capacity than the rotor but has the same front profile. the list goes on but i also like the fact you don't need to change the entire shell to swap from lid to speedfeed. the rotors simplicity and toughness is its biggest asset so its really a tossup of what you value in a loader.

i use a prophecy and keep my rotor as a spare. for the cost of a prophecy as well, to get the loader and speedfeed is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a rotor + shell + speedfeed
