Right then.......
Just got off the phone after a long chat with the plant manager regarding annoing etc and he has asked me to make a few things clear. First of hes double checked back with planet to make sure they are happy for us to use them etc and the message has come back that its all groovy BUT any eclipse gats/parts that go in will have there warranties invalidated.
He also told me that I would need to sign a disclaimer should anything go wrong regarding tolerances etc (which for my gat I am happy to do). He said that 'normally' there is generally no problems but if a gat has been re annoed two or three times it will take it outside its tolerance.

Regarding finishes, they do not do the finishes, they just do the straight anno work. He said that if the part already had a polished finish then it would come out with pretty much the same finish, likewise with a dust finish. Basically it will come out pretty much as it goes in but with the obvious colour change.;) Planet get there polishing done seperatley so you would need to arrange this yourself if you want a reall buffed up finish I guess.

All parts are to be STRIPPED right down, NOTHING except aluminium to be included as the process will fry it. This goes for copper, steel anything that is not aluminium. Any jewels & stickers need to be removed etc.

In answer to the feedneck question....as long as it is all one piece and he can get an electric current to it then there will be no problem.

So far I have around 13 parts and Three different colours for the order if everyone whos posted up still wants in. (silver, black and maybe white/clear if im brave enough;)). He reckons for that order it SHOULD still come in at £75 + VAT + shipping but if there is any extra I will get a call saying so before the process begins.

SO......Its at your own risk, Personally i am willing to do it and regardless of you orrible lot I will be sending my SL8R in asap. If after reading this you are still in post up and I will split the bill accordingly.

I'm in for 2x barrel tips, 1 x frame, 1 x trigger, 1x swivel collar, 1 x oops, 1 x feedneck clamp.

Thatsa real shame about the invalidation of the warranties, im going to give it a miss and spend £200 on getting it totally bling'd up by the guys i mentioned. At least then the warranty issue will be worth it. Thanks for doing alot of leg work.

My Xmag breech module is already raw alloy but not very polished,so i take it i'll need to find someone to polish it up before sending it to you for the anno job then.

I guess so if thats the finish that you want. He pretty much said as much when I asked about the finishes. He said they didnt do the polish or dust finishes, planet sorted all that out before the gats get to the anno stage. They just anno the colour schemes required and send them back so I would presume the same applies for private work such as ours.

My SL is dust and I was thinking about having some polished parts but its too much a pain in the butt so im sticking with a change of colour on my 'already dust' finish.

How are you going to set the colours with them? Would they match (as close as realistically possible) a colour on an existing gun? I have a Shaft barrel kit but the three backs don't match the tip. Would they be able to match the colour? It's for a Geo so presumably yes?!?!
