Ego 08 not firing (sort of)

I say sort of because it does technically fire, i pull the trigger, bolt moves and goes pop, but it doesnt fire paint. I try to run paint for it and it doesnt come out the barrel (it not the barrel, .693 bore and the paint goes fine through a .689), i turn the eyes off and it will keep moving the bolt as if its firing normally. It sounds alot quieter than an Ego should. Ive had 2 people quickly look at it and theyve both said they reckon its not getting enough air flowing through it. Its not the dwell i know that much, any ideas?

firstly replace the battery with a fresh good quality one

make sure that your air tank is screwed all the way into the asa and that the on/off knob is in all the way

take the rammer out, clean and re lube using the eclipse gun oil that comes with your ego

reset the board to factory settings (the manual should have them all in)

set the LPR so that the adjustment screw is about flush with LPR housing

if none of that fixes your problem then try taking appart your HPR and LPR, cleaning and re lubing using the eclipse gun oil

hope this helps

Battery brand new, bolt freshly cleaned and lubed, air tank and on off screwed in properly. I set the board to a 'factory setting on the presets menu, im gonna assume that right? Im not familiar with Ego's, i assume "flush" means the screw is level with the edge of the housing? Havent taken apart the LPR and HPR yet so i'll give that a go.

before taking appart the HPR and LPR take out the rammer (by unscrewing the ram cap on the back of the gun below the bolt) and clean/ re lube that, you should be doing this every 6 or so cases of paint that you put through it

Hmmmm sounds to me like its in training mode...

Also just check one other thing, that you haven't screwed the HPR screw in to far thus restricting air flow...

Repaired one recently that was doing this - if it isn't the battery - make sure the LPR adjustment screw is sat flush with the cap (no need to dismantle)

1 - Check the marker is not in training mode as mentioned above.
2 - fresh new quality battery
3 - Change the rammer o'rings
4 - check the bolt is not installed upside down
5 - Check diaphrams in QEV block

When you air up the marker and leave it for over 10 seconds, does the marker shoot a ball as normal ? If this happens, the air in the marker is slowly building up pressure, air being restricted somewhere.
