Hi Guys

I have a ploblem with my geo leaking out of the trigger area it started at stalingrad when i crono'ed and was getting major spike's in velocity, jumping 30-40fps, so cleaned and re-lubed reg checked o-rings, re-gassed and the started leaking out of trigger.

I would be so gratefull to know 1, why is my velocity is spiking and 2, why is it leaking out of trigger

I'm running the geo of a 68/4500 with myth reg.

Cheers guys hope you can help

Scott

before you do anything take the bolt out and clean it try using a small amount of lube. replace and see if its still leaking.

if it is still leaking try changing the 3 dynamic seals/ o rings. i.e. bolt o ring(furthest back on bolt), can o ring(one on the inside) and the one on the prop shaft(the one that fits inside the bolt). if any of these has a nick it won't seal thus causing spikes during use, due to uneven air flow through the gun.

try this if it doesn't cure the problem re post and we'll go for further detective work.

right then.
unscrew the frame from the body, make sure to unplug eyes and noid connectors.
turn the body upside down so your looking at the noid.
firstly wiggle the noid, is it loose.
secondly look for any red rubber sticking out from around the noid. if there is unscrew the noid re-seat the gasket(red rubber).
check the little gauze has nothing in it ( if it has clean it, its not the cause but its a job you can do whilst you have the noid off the gun).
At one end there is an allen head screw, unscrew this and a small red ball should be inside(clean it and the chamber it sits in)put it all back together, then screw in the noid again hand tight.

before putting the gun together you can check if it still leaks by screwing your bottle into the oops and connecting your macroline to the reg and running air through the gun. it doesn't need the wires connected to seal.

try that part i'll await the reply.

also i should have pointed out at this point did you check that you replaced the o rings on the can, bolt and prop shaft with the correct sized o rings by using the very extensive planet eclipse manual that came with your gun.
silly question but often is the problem?

Hi,

Glad the leak has stopped! May be a silly question but have you checked the marker over a crono now that the gasket has been put back into place correctly? That air leak alone would be enough to make the velocity jump around.......

Hi
no i've not checked it ove a crono, shot all the paint i had at the germans yesterday. I noticed the velocity jumping around at timewars last month, first time i used the gun since i got it new.

So it wasnt leaking to start of with, that only started at stalingrad yesterday. Will have to wait untill the weekend to check on a crono hopefully now that the gasket is seated properly the velocity will be more consistant.

I think it should be fine now. Even a small amount of air leaking (that you may not have noticed) would have effected things enough. Obviously paint to bore match and quality of paint will have had an impact, but see how you get on. My GEO1 shot within 4-8 FPS once it was bedded in.......just make sure to clean/lube the bolt and can after every day's play (only takes a moment to do) and give the reg a wipe/lube every couple of days play.
