The Return of 7-Man?

Over at VFTD, Baca Loco reports on how well HB went, and the event even turned a little profit.

Choice is a good thing, so can anyone see 7-Man making a return on a wide scale?

Can it mount a serious challenge to the domination of X-Ball?

I'm afraid the fate of paintball [worldwide] is in the hands of one man and that's Dave Youngblood.
He effectively owns and dictates what those guys do in that league.

I have been going on for ages now regarding the need for us to ditch XBall and get our asses back to 7-man but all the time the PSP embraces XBall then the Millennium is gonna follow suit.

We [Europe] either break ranks with the Yanks [PSP] or we continue following the PSP's lead.
To me, it makes little sense to align ourselves with them at this point because we don't even have a league where all our teams can actively compete with all their teams.
We'd get our asses spanked anyway but that's not the point here.
XBall is an anachronistic throwback to better times and it's ludicrous to still adopt this format in the light of everything that's going on.
XBall has NOTHING to do with a 'value for money' format and everything to do with positioning ourselves for a TV uptake, and that bus went a long time ago and won't ever return.

We either sack up and go back to 7 man or we follow the pied piper like rats to who knows where ...

It's a no-brainer as far as I am concerned but maybe the powers that be in the Millennium know something I don't ....... and trust me, they don't !!!

Politics is writing this particular screenplay, not common sense.

I'd personally love to see 7 man return, that'd sort the men out from the boys. Remove the coaching and the truly good teams will shine

When back players were fat and you had no clue how many people were left on the other team. Loved it

I don't really get how you say that xball isnt value for money? since i started playing xball last year i seem to play twice(if not more games) for the same same price of playing m5. Ok the games are often alot shorter but there funner to play becuse they are more action packed and you dont get locked in bunkers becuse the other team done move and stay on there lanes which for me personally is boring. And how will going back to 7 man make the "truly good teams" "shine", now this is purly the way i see it but parhaps im missing somthing, but surly play a race to 4 is more likly to show the better team as thing wont go tottaly down the sh**er just becuse one gun went down or one bad call or sombody tripping up as they leave the start gate, you have to beat them 4 time which means theres alot less of a luck margin

whats the big difference between 5 man and 7 man then?
Just play 5 man, there is no coaching there either...

However, if 7 man does come back, can we have PSP 3shot (15.4bps) back too ala PA 2005/06 season
