/FT UK: Original PS3 - PRICE DROP £90 inc lots of games

You know. The one that actually plays most of your PS1 and PS2 games as well. And also has a multicard reader built in (CF, SD/miniSD, MSPro) as well as 4 USB ports.

Compare to the new "improved" slim PS3s. No card readers. No PS1/PS2 compatibility. 2 USB ports. (I'll concede on the larger HDD, but they are easy to upgrade)

Will include all the following:

PS1: Demolition Racer, Colony Wars, V-rally, Tenchu 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Spyro, Silent Hill, Original Demo Disc One
PS2: Formula One 2001, Burnout 2, Burnout 3, Max Payne (no instructions), XIII, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Escape from Monkey Island, FIFA 2003, Splinter Cell, X-Squad

Why £90? The blu-ray drive has gone. I don't know why. It may just need dismantling and cleaning (free fix = really cheap PS3) or it may need replacing (about £60 average = still cheap PS3).

I can also add the following PS3 games for the additional £10 a pop:

The Bourne Conspiracy
Assassin's Creed

Postage? Not sure of the cost, but it will just be the exact shipping cost for your chosen method. No more, no less. I will get the exact figure to whoever snaps up this bargain.

so it still plays games and normal dvd's? Am i right in thinking that the only problem with it is that you cant play a Blu-ray disc?

not sure to be honest if it still runs dvds....haven't checked. will do so for you when i get home.

checked - it is not recognising any discs. whirs, clicks a couple of times as if trying to track, then just purrs quietly.....

looking around a few of the repair companies this can be fixed for around £50 - £80 depending on where you go or postage options.

anyway - i'll drop the price down to £90!

To be honest i haven't the free cash to get it in for repair myself - thus selling as is.

If i could repair it, it would be up on ebay as these models are still sought after and go pretty well.
